Alright. I have an idea. Just hear me out.
I want to start a Stuck in Church ‘book club’.
Yes. I’ve transformed into this woman…
My basic idea for this is simple – we choose a book, everyone reads it (Christians, Atheists, Agnostics, whatever) and then we discuss it in a couple of weeks time, or a months time… or however long you think it’ll take to read the book in question.
Would you guys be interested in doing something like that? Let me know below – and throw some suggestions at me as well! If I get a big enough response we can get this thing kicking!

I’m game.
Will the choice of literure be bookocratic, or chosen by a booktatorship?
(See what I did there…? Yeah.)

I’m in too….can we make the first one juicy controversial? I mean, if you’re going to start something, better make the first one a doosey right?

Ah come on Caryn – you’ve got the brains yo.
My suggestions are…
1. The Greatest Show on Earth – Richard Dawkins (or any other Dawkins book)
2. A book from the bible – one that’s a bit tough and worth debating?
3. The Greatest Hoax on Earth – Jonathan Sarfati (although it might be better to read that after The Greatest Show on Earth, since it’s a rebuttal to that book)
These ones might be a bit obvious, but if people have already read it they can still comment obviously!
Any other suggestions?

Blue Like Jazz
by Donald Miller
my fav quote
“Sooner or later you just figure out there are some guys who don’t believe in God and they can prove He doesn’t exist, and some other guys who do believe in God and they can prove He does exist, and the argument stopped being about God a long time ago and now it’s about who is smarter, and honestly I don’t care.”
Haven’t myself read but heard it was good!

I’m in!
If it’s going to be the Quran then I say let’s allow for two months!
It would be good for there to be as much variety as possible I reckon – and a sprinkle of light readings (like some article in Times magazine or something) form time to time to rest the neurons…

The God delusion – Dawkins
God is not great – Hitchens
